Vibrant elements to create an intriguing collage celebrating the work and life of the iconic Mexican Frida Kahlo.
Commissioned by the V&A, our promo film presents some of the personal possessions of the artist present at this top-rated show.
For the first time, these belongings were being exhibited outside Mexico. The objects were locked away in La Casa Azul (The Blue House) since her death in 1954, according to the wishes of her husband, Diego Rivera.
In the film, we witness Frida’s remarkable style, and we see many of her distinctive and colourful clothes in a kind of appearing and disappearing game, where new combinations and forms are created and recreated in front of our eyes.
‘Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up’ was a blockbuster exhibition, extended for two weeks by the V&A due to unprecedented attendance. And once more, FGreat was proud to be part of this success.
