A remarkable exhibition enabled another great partnership between the Royal Academy of Arts and FGreat Studio: ‘Revolution: Russian Art 1917-1932’

The film showcases the diversity in display, the beauty of the artworks and, at the same time, reflects the weight of that historical moment.

We animated some of the pieces, such as Kazimir Malevich’s abstract painting, and explored others in close-up shots, diving into the colours of Wassily Kandinsky’s Blue Crest. This mix made the film more dynamic and invited the audience to admire such a variety of masterpieces in detail.

The soundtrack gave rhythm and helped to build momentum. A film for a powerful exhibition.
