We are transported back in time reimagining the moment of creation of ‘Wood and Rock’, one of the world’s rarest Chinese paintings by Su Shi (1037-1101).

This project is a mix of live action – filmed in Hong Kong – and animation. Once the ink touches the paper, the artwork flourishes on screen. We also have the chance to observe in the film the delicacy of the calligraphy on the 1,000-year-old scroll painting

Given the extreme rarity of Su Shi’s paintings, ‘Wood and Rock’ was set to become one of the most important works ever auctioned in world history. And FGreat team was pleased to be part of this project.
