We were commissioned to design a film for the British Museum’s ‘South Africa: the art of a nation’ exhibition, showcasing the country’s fascinating story through 100,000 years of art.
Using our skilful blend of 3D animation techniques mixed with illustrations and hand-painted textures, we produced a dynamic content in which viewers go on a journey of discovery, bringing to life some of the pieces exhibited at the BM.
The audience is invited to explore the early rock art of our ancestors and some of the world’s oldest artistic objects, as well as pieces of the post-apartheid period and cutting-edge contemporary works. The rustic finish work on the illustrations creates a natural look.
The result is a stunning film, a glimpse of a show that sheds light on examples of South African creativity and artistic achievement.
