This film was another great partnership with Sotheby’s to promote the Ancient Marbles auction. The trailer starts with a tense soundtrack, black and white photo animation and bold text on screen reminding the social upheaval the world faced in the end of the 1960s. It then switches to the Jamaican vibe of that time and focus on one of the highlights of the auction: four Roman draped female statues that, from 1968 until 2016, adorned the swimming-pool of a palatial villa in Montego Bay.
The film combines images of nature, the villa, the couple who owned the 2nd century Roman statues before showing the pieces in detail. It highlights the party vibe that they adorned with a lively soundtrack, colourful and humorous text on screen that helps to explain their origin, value and history.
