Royal Academy – Painting the Modern Garden

Fgreat were delighted to be commissioned for the third time by The Royal Academy to produce this beautiful piece of animation that promotes the exhibition blockbuster of the year in London: Painting the Modern Garden – Monet to Matisse.

The idea was to bring to life masterpieces of artists of the late 19th to early 20th century who saw in back gardens an inspiration and a chance to experiment with light and colour.

A 3D camera projection enabled us to introduce movement to the compositions without compromising the painter’s’ perspective. The promotional online video was a tree-week creation, from brief to final delivery, that resulted in a stunning delicate piece, where music and emotion are perfectly connected. It is a glimpse of a landmark exhibition, in which art and flower lovers are drowned in a joyful world.
