British Library – Maps of the 20th Century

We were commissioned by the British Library to work with them on the Introductory film for the blockbuster exhibition Maps and the 20th Century: Drawing the Line, exploring the fascinating history of the use of cartography in the 20th century and how maps have helped to shape the world we live in today.

Using both 2D and 3D animation, FGreat created a film that narrates the history of how maps and the technology behind them can not only be a source of information but also a powerful influence tool.

Informative and entertaining, this astonishing piece of content was well-received and helped to introduce the audience to the curious and interesting world of maps, once restricted to a few people, now increasingly present in our daily life.
