Working once again with distinguished folks Najma Bhatti and Yurj Buzzi from Design and Creative Direction Four55, FGreat were tasked with developing an outstanding hologram for the latest No7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum Ad with Italian prima ballerina Alessandra Ferri.
The new anti-ageing cream available exclusively at Boots is showcased on a TV advert featuring the ballet dancer, at 52, performing with her holographic 19 year-old self, age in which she became the youngest ever principal dancer at The Royal Ballet.
As a key element in the TV spot, the making of the hologram was a pleasant challenge: a 2-week production, encompassing 456 hours of rotoscoped archive footage and complex work of countertracking the existing camera moves. Visual effects were largely used in the hologram resulting in digital glitches. On the shoot day, 3D holographic projection technology brought the young world class dancer to life, as the ballet star performed and proudly shared the stage with her talented 33-year-younger self. The unexpected “encounter” creates a stunning and unique perspective for TV viewers.
The beautiful live action sequences, combined with a high-end hologram and vivid soundtrack music, get across the message that women, regardless their age, are still rocking and ready for more, as Alessandra Ferri returns to dance with The Royal Ballet again.
